Objective:
Drive traffic to the new Wattyl app and encourage users to engage with its features through a nationwide competition in New Zealand.
Competition Concept:
North vs. South: Users from the North Island and South Island will compete to win exciting prizes by downloading the Wattyl app and participating in the competition. The competition will have a regional rivalry element, encouraging more engagement by promoting local pride.
Prizes:
A range of prizes will be available for individual participants.
Target Audience:
Residents of New Zealand, with a focus on driving participation from both islands and encouraging users to explore the app's features.
Solution:
For this project, I created an impactful visual featuring two main characters representing the North and South Islands. These characters served as the focal point of the North vs. South competition, symbolising the regional rivalry in a dynamic and engaging way.
I was deeply involved in the art direction, overseeing both the photo shoot and the visual narrative. I ensured that the characters’ styling, posture, and overall aesthetic aligned with the brand’s vision. After the shoot, I handled the final retouching and colour grading to enhance the visuals, seamlessly combining them with the Wattyl brand assets to create a cohesive and visually striking campaign.
